Biography:
The Computer Science education I received at the University of Maryland between 1981 and 1985 provided me with the basis for a career that has been, and continues to be, interesting, challenging and personally rewarding. After graduating with a BS in Computer Science in 1985 (my first programming class was with Dr Harlan Mills!), I have been fortunate to work with some truly wonderful people and technologies over the years: at the National Institutes of Health, with the DECsystem/10 and early large Unix systems; at MIT's Project Athena, the X Consortium and IBM Global services implementing and providing early, large "distributed" computing technologies such. I currently work at the Berklee College of Music, on AIX and linux systems that run the College's central administrative services.
