Maryland CS wants your input regarding how best to educate and prepare future students. In preparation for our event, please complete a short survey.  

Working together, this 40th Anniversary Celebration will help to guide our academic programs and research directions for the future.

Going forward, Maryland CS will continue to provide cutting-edge research and a first class education to launch the next generation of successful computer scientists. To that end, we will be initiating the following:

• "CS Education for Tomorrow" to facilitate the exploration of technology usage in the classroom, a program made possible due to a generous donor who has agreed to match all gifts to this project
   
• Formal training of Ph.D. students for future academic positions in conjunction with the campus Engineering College
   
• Plans for a Center for Women in Computing, to provide encouragement and practical support, with the objective of increasing the number of women in the discipline
